Le Premier ministre israélien exhorte à une «guerre totale» contre le Hamas

TEL AVIV, Israël (AP) – Dans une escalade de la violence au Moyen-Orient, le Premier ministre israélien a appelé à une «guerre totale» contre le Hamas à Gaza vendredi après une série d’attaques de roquettes.

Les tensions entre Israël et le Hamas ont augmenté ces dernières semaines, les deux parties se lançant des attaques de plus en plus fréquentes. Mais les commentaires du Premier ministre israélien vendredi marquent une intensification de la rhétorique.

«Nous ne pouvons plus tolérer les attaques incessantes du Hamas contre notre population civile», a déclaré le Premier ministre israélien lors d’un discours à Tel Aviv. «C’est pourquoi je demande une guerre totale contre le Hamas. Nous allons mettre fin à cette menace une fois pour toutes.»

Le Hamas a réagi en promettant de continuer à se battre contre Israël. «Nous défendrons notre peuple jusqu’au bout», a déclaré un porte-parole du Hamas dans un communiqué.

La communauté internationale a appelé au calme et à la retenue, exhortant les deux parties à trouver une solution pacifique au conflit. Mais avec les tensions en hausse, il reste incertain comment la situation évoluera dans les prochains jours.
