Selon un article d’ABC News, un spa non autorisé au Nouveau-Mexique aurait été à l’origine d’un cas de contamination au VIH à la suite d’un “vampire facial”. En effet, le CDC a récemment confirmé que deux des clients du spa ont été infectés par le VIH après avoir reçu ce traitement esthétique non réglementé.

Le “vampire facial” consiste à prélever du sang du client, le centrifuger pour en extraire le plasma riche en plaquettes, puis l’injecter à nouveau dans la peau du visage pour une apparence rajeunie. Malheureusement, dans le cas de ce spa non autorisé, les normes d’hygiène n’auraient pas été respectées, entraînant des risques de contamination pour les clients.

Les autorités sanitaires rappellent ainsi l’importance de choisir des établissements autorisés et réglementés pour tout type de traitement esthétique. Le spa en question a depuis été fermé et fait actuellement l’objet d’une enquête approfondie pour déterminer les responsabilités dans cette affaire inquiétante.
